Donating to Ukraine

At Bloomcare, we believe that our duty is to care. Not just for the elderly, or the unwell. Our Christian ethics mean that our duty to care is universal. We believe that we can, and should provide our assistance to anyone who needs it in any way we can. For years we have been steadfast supporters of foodbanks across the Northwest, and we are always on the lookout for other charitable ventures that we can provide our assistance to. But it isn’t just our Christian values that compel us to do so. We recognise that our homes are an integral part of our communities. We service the communities that have been so hospitable to us, because these are the communities that we love. These are the places that have provided the background to the lives of everyone who walks through our doors. Stronger, healthier and more prosperous communities, create stronger, healthier and more prosperous people, so as a care company, we see this work as a vital means of preventing the rise of negative influences that could worsen conditions within our communities.

But charity should not be confined by borders. Over the past months, the world has watched the situation in Ukraine escalate, and the civilian death toll rise. We believe that it is important that anyone who can help, does. We have been praying for the people of Ukraine since hostilities began, but prayer alone is not enough. We have taken action by donating what we can to the Ukrainian people to help provide vital medical supplies currently needed on the ground. We may have taken a hit as a result of the rising electricity and gas prices, but we recognise that our issues are incomparable with those of the people of Ukraine. So, as ever, we remain determined to prevent these costs from trickling down to our customers, and we will continue to everything we can to support victims of war globally, as we continue to pray for peace.
