Safeguarding at Bloomcare

Our Commitment

We are dedicated to protecting adults in our care from harm, abuse, neglect, and improper treatment—ensuring a safe, dignified, and respectful environment.

What is safeguarding?

Safeguarding supports adults who:

  • Need care and support

  • Are experiencing or at risk of abuse or neglect

  • May be unable to protect themselves due to care needs

How we protect residents

  • We follow the Care Act 2014, Health & Care Act 2022, and NICE safeguarding guidance (NG189).

  • We work closely with local authorities and partner agencies.

  • We promote an open culture with clear training, reporting, and feedback systems.

Our safeguarding principles

We are guided by six key principles:

  • Prevention

  • Protection

  • Empowerment

  • Proportionality

  • Partnership

  • Accountability

Reporting concerns & support

  • Concerns are taken seriously and acted upon swiftly.

  • We have internal systems and notify relevant external authorities (e.g., CQC).

  • Our Safeguarding Team provides ongoing support and oversight.
