The best in the Northwest
We do our work because we love what we do, but of course, any recognition of our efforts is always appreciated, and it looks like we have a reason to celebrate.
Not only is Bloomcare a finalist in this year’s Lang Buisson awards for outstanding response to Covid-19, but all of our care homes have been awarded the title of best in the Northwest. In fact two of our homes actually received perfect 10/10 scores. Our staff have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic negotiating lockdowns, restrictions, new safety measures and staff shortages, as well as all of the usual challenges that we encounter each and every day in our line of work and our residents have all seen the benefits of their devotion.
The difficulties presented by the last few years have prompted us to enforce even stricter infection control practices to reinforce the safety of our homes for both residents and staff. As a result we have achieved over 90% infection control scores in most of our homes, with our Burnham care home shining through with a sparkling 99% infection control rating. While these results are incredible, we can’t say that they came as a surprise, as we have done everything we can to pre-empt, contain, and combat this pandemic form the moment that it appeared on our horizon. From our stringent visitation policies, to our specially designed garden pods, to our hugely successful vaccine rollout, we have done everything we possibly could to protect our vulnerable residents and staff form the dangers presented by covid, whilst ensuring that they were still able to enjoy lifestyles that were as full, and sociable as possible.
One of our central philosophies is that if we can acknowledge that we will never be perfect, we are compelled to always improve. That’s why we are constantly investing in research, new technologies, and expert training to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to all matters. We strive to be a company that is always in the pursuit of excellence. From our directors and home managers, to our carers, experts, chefs and maintenance staff, our team have always done us proud.
Throughout the pandemic our team have had to take on new and unexpected challenges and they have met all of them with the same energy, enthusiasm and dedication that we have come to expect of them. Working in staff bubbles, committing to all possible infection control practices and months spent making our resident’s as comfortable and content as possible in a difficult time, has placed a huge amount of responsibility on our team. But the fact that they’ve not only overcome each and every challenge put before them, but excelled, taking our companies performance from strength to strength in a time when the industry was expected to buckle under the pressure, has filled us all with immense pride. The award was a wonderful and fully deserved act of recognition, but the real reward, as ever, is the appreciation and gratitude we receive every day, from those we continue to dedicate our lives to.
