My name is Lyndsey Rafferty and I am delighted to introduce myself as the General Manager for Abbotsbury. With over 15 years of experience in the care sector, I bring a wealth of knowledge in both resident support and management.

I am fully qualified in all aspects of health and social care, including safeguarding and quality monitoring. My background has allowed me to build strong, transparent relationships with local authorities, the CQC and the families and friends who are integral to our residents’ well-being. Together, I believe we can create a nurturing and joyful environment for your loved ones. My goal is to provide excellent care, structure and continuity, fostering a home where laughter and friendships thrive.

At Abbotsbury, we are dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming home for all our residents. We strive to bring love, care, kindness, and laughter into the lives of every person in our community. Our mission is to foster a supportive environment where everyone feels valued, respected and happy.

I am delighted to welcome all of you visiting Arkwright House soon. As someone who started their career in care at this very facility in 2000, this place holds a special place in my heart.

Having worked as a Care Assistant, I quickly realized my true passion for this profession and grasped the opportunity to be trained as a Senior Care Assistant. The challenges of training and the immense satisfaction of upskilling my colleagues motivated me to take on additional responsibilities, such as being the Moving and Handling coordinator, trainer in Dementia Awareness, and Infection Control Lead.

In 2011, after completing my NVQ Level 5 Health Care Management qualification, I was privileged to assume the role of Arkwright’s unit manager. For over 11 years, I have had the honor of loving and caring for the residents at Arkwright House.

I extend my warmest welcome to all those coming to Arkwright House. I hope you find the same joy and fulfillment that I have experienced in my journey here. Our dedicated team is committed to providing the highest standard of care, and we look forward to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

Hello, everyone! My name is Michelle Fleming, and I am General Manager at Brookfield House. 

My first role at Brookfield House was as a Care Assistant on the Elderly Mental Dementia unit (EMD). From day one, I was drawn to the challenging nature of the work, and I quickly realized how rewarding it could be. I dedicated myself to learning and growing in this field, and with time, I worked my way up to a senior position.

Following my dedication and hard work, I was fortunate enough to be offered a Unit Manager post on the EMD unit at Brookfield. This promotion felt like a testament to the trust and confidence the company had in my abilities. For nearly three years now, I have been proudly serving as the manager of the Brookfield House.

Throughout my time at Brookfield House, I have been incredibly grateful for the unwavering support and guidance provided by the company. Their commitment to helping me excel in my role and care for our residents has been nothing short of exceptional. I am constantly inspired to push myself further and explore new horizons in the field of elderly care.

Donna has worked in the care sector for over 30 years and joined Hampton in 2021. Throughout her career, she has progressed from Care Assistant to Senior, Deputy and now Manager, showing unwavering dedication to both her role and the home.

Donna is passionate about Hampton Court and considers the residents and staff as part of her extended family. She is a strong advocate for meaningful resident activities, which remains one of her key priorities, alongside maintaining open and regular communication with families.

Outside of work, Donna is a proud mother of one daughter and two sons. She is also a huge Manchester United supporter, enjoying match days whenever she gets the chance and previously followed Southport FC regularly. Above all, Donna’s love and commitment to her residents is at the heart of everything she does.

Hello my name is Edelyn and I am the General Manager at Laburnum House.  I was born and raised abroad, and during my time there, I studied Chemical Engineering and obtained a Chemical Engineers license. I had the opportunity to work as a Production Manager and received training as an ISO auditor for 11 years.

In 2004, I made the decision to study basic nursing while in the Philippines, in anticipation of eventually coming to this country.

I joined the Bloomcare family in May 2005 as a Senior Care, and I have worked my way up in the management ladder. In 2008, I was given the chance to manage Laburnum House, the first care home that the company acquired in Greater Manchester.

Throughout my journey, Bloomcare has provided unwavering support, assisting me in obtaining various NVQ qualifications, developing my leadership skills, and offering advice and support in the daily operations of a care home.

I am currently working diligently with my team to enhance both the residents’ living quality and the overall management of the home.

Hello I’m Minu, the General Manager at Linden House. I am a Registered General Nurse who embarked on my journey in the UK in 2011 after passing the qualifying exams for NMC. I obtained my PIN in 2012 after successfully completing the Overseas Nurses Programme with City University London.

My career trajectory began as a Care Assistant while studying at the University. Gradually, I worked my way up, taking on roles such as Senior Care Assistant, Nurse, Sister, Clinical Lead Nurse, and Unit Manager in 2015 in a Dementia unit. In 2021, I achieved my NVQ level 5 in Leadership and Management and completed the Palliative Passport with Springhill Hospice.

Despite being a Registered General Nurse, my true passion lies in working with individuals living with Dementia. I emphasize a Person-Centred Approach, as I strongly believe in the uniqueness of each individual—recognizing that every person is a unique existence in this world.

Known for my amiable attitude, I connect well with residents, families, and colleagues alike. With strong leadership and management skills, I motivate others through a warm, friendly approach, leading by example to maintain a fantastic team. I believe in “growing up together,” nurturing my team and ensuring those around me experience growth and development in their careers.

Aligning with all Bloomcare values, I strive to ensure my team observes them at work, bringing Excellence, Love, Courage, Fun, Servant’s heart, and Integrity to the workplace. This approach empowers our residents to have the best life possible while living with dementia.

Hi, I’m Katie Romero-Bennett, Unit Manager at Miller House. I began my role at Shawside in September 2025 and have thoroughly enjoyed my journey so far. Since starting, I have continued to develop and strengthen my skills and knowledge within the role.

I am a qualified nurse, having trained at Salford University in 2008. I started my nursing career at Salford Royal Foundation Trust, working on the Cardiology Unit for seven years before moving to the High Dependency Unit, where I spent a further five years. 

After this, I progressed into management roles, starting as Unit Manager at Bramhall Manor, where I worked for one year and then became Deputy Home Manager at Newlands Care Home in Stockport followed by a Deputy Home Manager role where I gained valuable experience working closely with the CQC, particularly supporting homes during challenging inspection periods.

I am deeply committed to delivering high-quality care and building strong relationships with residents and their families. I also greatly value the staff I work with and believe I have developed a positive, supportive, and effective working relationship with my team.

Hello, my name is Kelly Marie Dean, and I am the Registered Manager of Beech House.

I began my career in care in 2002 and have over 20+ years’ experience in health and social care, with more than 18 years dedicated to leading dementia care at Beech House. Dementia care is not just my profession; it is my passion. My approach is rooted in the belief of “Person first, dementia second”, ensuring that every individual is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect, while receiving care that is meaningful, personalised, and as independent as possible.

At Beech House, I am committed to creating a calm, safe, and homely environment where people living with dementia feel secure, valued, and understood. I work closely with families and health and social care professionals to ensure care is consistent, responsive, and tailored to each person’s needs, preferences, and life history.

My philosophy of dementia care is centred on understanding the individual beyond their diagnosis. I believe in supporting people to live well with dementia by promoting choice, maintaining independence wherever possible, and using the least restrictive approaches to care. Behaviour is always seen as communication, and care is delivered with patience, empathy, and reassurance.

My leadership values are based on compassion, accountability, and continuous improvement. I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care, and I am fortunate to have a brilliant team working alongside me who share the same values and commitment to person-centred dementia care, providing high-quality, compassionate support every day.

I am proud of the care we provide at Beech House and look forward to continuing to create a warm, supportive environment where people living with dementia can feel safe, respected, and truly at home.

I have been a registered Mental Health Nurse since 2012, developing a personal interest in supporting individuals with a diagnosis of dementia during my training. I have worked at Oldham House since 2014, progressing from Nurse on duty to Unit Manager and then Registered Manager. During this time, I focused on developing my management skills and professional development to complete registration with the CQC.

While working with Bloomcare, I have built strong, positive relationships with healthcare professionals across the community and strengthened the team at Oldham House through knowledge and skill-sharing.

I strongly believe in a collaborative approach, working closely with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate, person-centred care. Our team is led by Bloomcare’s core values: love, courage, fun, servant hearts, and integrity. Our home truly feels like a family, and our staff strives to empower each individual resident while providing the highest quality of care. We are dedicated to supporting each resident by providing the care and comfort they deserve.

My name is Chloe Chambers and I am the registered manager of Royton house.  I have 19 years of experience in the care industry, starting out as a care assistant and advancing through roles as I gained experience and qualifications.

My background in care has allowed me to continually build on a foundation of practical skills and develop a caring and compassionate team. Our team prides itself on delivering person centred care, focusing on what residents can do to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.

My goal is to enable residents to celebrate their abilities by focusing on holistic care and working with multidisciplinary teams to improve their quality of life. At Royton House, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive home, where everybody feels valued, safe and respected!  We look forward to welcoming you.

I began my career in the care sector in 2009, driven by a genuine passion for providing compassionate, person-centred care. Through commitment, hard work, and ongoing professional development, I progressed into the role of Senior Care Assistant, gaining valuable experience in both care delivery and team leadership.

I joined Shaw House in 2014 as a Senior Carer and have since continued to develop my skills and responsibilities within the service. I achieved my Level 5 NVQ in Leadership & Management in 2025 and progressed into the role of Registered Manager, where I oversee the day-to-day running of the home and ensure high standards of care are consistently maintained.

I am passionate about supporting, mentoring, and training my team to help them grow professionally, while also ensuring our residents receive safe, high-quality care in a warm and supportive environment. I take great pride in leading by example and fostering a positive, well-supported team culture.

Throughout my time at Shaw House, I have been extremely grateful for the ongoing support and guidance provided by Bloomcare, which has enabled me to excel in my role and continue delivering the best possible care to our residents.

My name is Tracy Brindley and I am delighted to introduce myself as the General Manager at Lighthouse Manchester.

I have worked in the health and social care sector since the age of 17 years.  Gaining experience supporting many residents with a variety of needs. This has included both domiciliary and residential care, where I have supported, elderly residents, neuro diverse individuals and those experiencing poor physical and mental health conditions.

My qualifications include Level 5 Health and Social Care, Level 5 Management and a BA in Health and Social Care (first class honours) 

Prior to my appointment at Lighthouse Manchester, I was CQC registered manager for residential treatment centres in Bolton and Salford, supporting individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance misuse. The service users were supported to achieve their aspirations which included reconnecting with families, maintaining abstinence, completing training courses and for some gaining full time paid employment. 

I have continued my passion within the field of dual diagnosis in my role at Lighthouse where we are challenging stigma and inequalities to ensure our residents are supported to become valued members of the local community. We do this by recognising achievements, giving encouragement and supporting individuals to challenge their own thoughts, beliefs and behaviours.
